My Dearest Lucy We were such close childhood friends with so many wonderful memories. I was not ready to say goodbye. Your illness just took over too soon, it broke my heart for not being able to come and see you in hospital, and even when I insisted you asked me not come because of the current global situation and my health...all I did was pray and pray and anxiously contacted your loved ones daily for an update... sadly, you eventually gave up leaving me in floods of tears for knowing you are no more. I am saddened that I will no longer hear your affectionate voice on the phone where we regularly spoke for ages, you were always full of infectious laughter and joy. You were my special fiend like a sister to me. I know you are in a better place now - cause you're no longer in pain. Our friendship is forever. You will always be within my heart.
